Chessington World of Adventures

This former zoo has developed into a theme park over the years. It has rides for all ages and still retains a zoo. The roller coasters are The Vampire, The Rattlesnake and Dragons Fury. It is well themed into different lands.

In Transylvania you will find the Vampire. The 'old' style cars on the Vampire were bat shaped. In 2002 these cars were replaced with new tilting ones to make the ride more intense and interesting rather than removing the ride all together. I think they did the trick and loosing the Vampire would mean that there would be no coaster of this type in the UK.

 Professor Burps Bubbleworks can also be found here. This is a great ride but be prepared to get the odd splash or two.

In Mexicana you will find two of the parks roller coasters, the rattlesnake, a steel wild mouse coaster and runaway mine train, a powered coaster. The rattlesnake is well themed and the better of the two coasters.

Round the corner from the rattlesnake Forbidden Kingdom were you will Remises Revenge, a top spin ride.

Next to the Remises Revenge is the Tomb Blaster. This ride was updated a few year to include guns to shoot targets on the ride. This was a great improvement and changed this ride from something to do when its raining to a ride that must be done.

Over in the Mystic East land you will find the parks log flume, Dragon Falls. This is a good fast flume.

Next is Beanoland based on the comic book the Beano. Here you will find a well themed area with attractions aimed more at children. The parks dodgems is here. The themeing even extends to the plants.

On to the Land of Dragons, a new area for 2004. Here you will find the Dragons Fury roller coaster. This spinning coasters has steep drops, twists and turns and spinning cars! No two rides are the same.

The area is again well themed with dragons everywhere.

Another good ride that looked sickly but is not is Griffins Galleon. This is a spinning pirate ship.

In the Market Square you will find Hocus Pocus and the Safari Skyway. Hocus Pocus is a walk through fun/ghost house. Good family fun.

The Safari Skyway is a monorail which gives a guided tour of some of the zoo. (The commentary is tedious to say the least).

Animal land is the zoo. Its has big cats, monkeys, birds and much more. Its a good place to take some time out.
