Drayton Manor

This park is a small compact park with lots to do. Its never over crowded when I have visited unlike some other parks. Yet it has some great rides and a few superb rides. As you approach the park you can see the top of the tower drop ride, Apocalypse. This was the first to have a 'stand-up car'. This makes it a completely different experience to the usual sit down cars, which are still available on this ride. This year the floorless stand-up car was added, making for a new even more horrible experience. But once ridden you just have to go again.

As well as the apocalypse, the are several roller coasters. Europe's only stand-up coaster, The Shockwave is here. This is a good coaster if a little rough at the back.

The latest ride is G Force. Its a compact coaster with the lift hill in the loop. It has a great airtime hill and 2 further inversions.

And there's the buffalo 'family coaster'

The old skyflyer was replaced by the floorless version called Pandemonium.

There are two main water rides. The Stormforce, which includes a backwards drop and the river rapids.

Excalibur is a boat ride through a few sense based around the tale. Good for family's or some time out but could have been much better.

For those who like a spin will love Maelstrom. This ride does not make you feel sick like others of its kind, but when you get off you walk to the right despite thinking you are going straight. Not one to do just before driving home!

For great fun shooting and silliness there is Golden Nuggets. Hours of family fun even if you are a coaster die hard type.

Drayton Manor has spent the last few years putting in new rides which has made it a must visit park each year.
